Smile link time vs precompile time configuration

Hi

Sorry my question is nothing related to Linux. But i always find LinuxQuestions.org as the nearest help.

I want to know the difference between Pre-compile time configuration and Link-Time configuration.

Some one help me out on this. It will be better if some useful links related to the topic is provided.

thanks in advance

Can you be more specific ?

Saying "Pre-compile time configuration" what configuration do you mean ? The same question applies to "Link-Time configuration".

I.e. can you give us an example of an object you are configuring ? The "object" in the question is more in its English, not OO programming sense.

For example, are you talking about program configuration ?

Give us examples.
