hii friends...
i am doing b.tech on computer science and i am looking for a final year project topic.Can u suggest some ???

There must be some reason you went to school for CS. Can you project that reason onto the requirements of the project?

Write a program to efficiently factor a product of two large primes. If you manage it, you should get a pretty good grade.

So Sabarishr will be writing a financial application to make him rich quick then or a super game to make him happy! Sometimes the questions are more difficult than the answer. We are regularly taught how to answer questions, but not as often are we taught what the questions should be.
I'm sure that between your supervisor (good start as mentioned by Ghostdog74) and the others here, with good advice and good humour, then you will certainly get there ok. Good luck with your project and Happy New year to you all.

I have already done a project on XMMS and networking.So i would be grateful if u offer topics on operating system, compilers or similar stuff...
