Kdevelop 2.1.5 (using KDE 3.1-11 Red Hat). aclocal error!

I am running Kdevelop 2.1.5 (using KDE 3.1-11 Red Hat). From the initial installation of the IDE, I have been getting this compile error even when I do nothing more than create a HELLO WORLD console application with the Kdevelop Application Wizard.

aclocal.m4:3009: your implementation of AM_INIT_AUTOMAKE comes from an
aclocal.m4:3009: old Automake version. You should recreate aclocal.m4
aclocal.m4:3009: with aclocal and run automake again.

My work around at the moment is to open my project directory and run aclocal. Then after a rebuild the console application works fine. The question is... "What do I need to do to avoid this error all togeather?

I had the same problem
But now I use one of the alpha versions of KDevelop 3 (I think its Alpha 4 or 6)
I dont get that error anymore and the version is pretty stable (I havent found any bugs so far)
And it is much nicer than the KDevelop 2.1.5
