java programming

I'm interested to run java programmes in linux ,how wil I install and run java in fedora 9?

You will either get it from the repositories, or download it from the Java site http://www.java.com, and install it, using the instructions they provide.

Chances are you already have Java with FC9. Have you looked? Tried typing in "java --version" at a prompt???
