Installing the Gcc 3.4.3 on Linux

Hi all
I have downloaded the latest version of gcc-3.4.3.
I have installed it
Now i want to develop a c++ project using Kdevelop...

I want to know will kdevelop automatically use the latest G++ compiler or do i have to make any changes settings??

please help??
