Installing Cygwin?

I recently reinstalled Cygwin because I was in need of the devel library. Only now, certain commands, such as 'man echo' give me error messages-

bash: man: command not found

I'm guessing that I am now missing another library? Can someone advise on how to install cygwin with all libraries?
And also, how to initially remove it coz it was difficult enough when I tried to install the devel library.
...or am I just being a moron and there's some simpler explanation? ...probably

Any advice appreciated,

Dave

Take the error message at its word. Either the path to the man command isn't in your PATH variable or the man command is not installed. I should be in /usr/bin/ so try "ls /usr/bin/man" to see if it's there, and "echo $PATH" and see if /usr/bin is listed.

This is because you installed the basic default version of cygwin. To get the entire package, install Cygwin Install while installing.

Open the setup file and follow the instructions. A + symbol appears on one of the installtion windows which show the following:

cygwin default
cygwin install
cygwin reinstall

Go for the 'cygwin install', it will install all the required components for you.

'man' is usually included in the default installation.
