Hi All.
I'm new here and I wanted to know if someone can help me about how to run the PHP on fedora 9
How can I installed and where I should place the PHP folder.
I have installed apache is working just fine.
Now I want to setup PHP
If your current package manager is OK for you - great! Installing PHP should be a snap. Otherwise, I'd encourage you to try an alternative (I can vouch for Synaptic, among many other great choices).
Fedora uses yum (not the best package manager in the world) I have yumex installed over it which just provides a useful frontend. But yes please use a package manager.
To install yumex, go to System - Administration - Add/Remove Software then type yumex in the search box. You can then use that to install yumex. You can us the same program to install php, justtype php in the search box and select for install php-common (and php-cli) as a minimum.
