In NLD9.0 How to print Chinese Characters correctly?

In my program <with curses.h and initscr()>, how can i print chinese correctly. I have installed zhcon.tar.gz. But every time I type zhcon, prints out "/dev/pts/1 is not real tty or vc. Please close the current tty and try again."
