Hi all,

i have a problem making an object file !

I am trying to make a object file for a module and the response from kernel is as follows ::


$gcc -c my_prog.c
$ls
my_porg.c my_prog.o
$insmod my_prog.o
my_prog.o: kernel-module version mismatch
my_prog.o was compiled for kernel version 2.4.20
while this kernel is version 2.4.20-8.


Now how to solve this problem ?? I know the option of using " -f " option with insmod, but is there any othere way such that i can use " 2.4.20-8 " libraries for building my object file ??
