How to "readline" in Tcl ?

Hi all,

I am interpreting quite a few files with Tcl, but I don't know how to do "readline" just like we do it in either C++ or Java.

This is how I currently read contents off files:

Code:

set src [open filename r]
read $src

but this gets whole bunch of info at once.

I would truly appreciate any help that you may provide.

try using 'gets' instead of read.
this should do what you want.
