how to force kill TCP connections


hi
i establish (C Program)tcp connection & close that TCP connection. when i try to rerun the program. Its showing
TCP Connection in Use:
Connection failed

It releases that connection only after some time even after closing. How to kill such type of connection. Is There any c fucntion to kill such tcp connecttion by force.

Are you getting that error after a call to bind() by any chance?

Hello,

Are you closing all the open file descriptors in your code. If not please do it. Once your program terminates normally, then when you connect agian it'll not report any error messages.
