Exclamation how to compile the kernel

hai experts...

i have someproblem with my guest os....

iam working in linux 7.0 on vmwareGsx server as guest machine.

now i need to update my kernel..

my kernel version is 2.2.16-22....but i need kernel 2.4.0-0.26

how to update or compile my kernel to 2.4.0-0.26..
