Help for developing a device driver code for loopback interface in linux

hi all,
i am a beginner in device driver development. i have just developed a sample driver for a character device and block device. now i would like to know how can i develop a driver for a network interface. in Rubini's 'Linux device drivers'(O'Reilly) there is a chapter explaining this. but i am not getting it. they are explaining about a driver for a loopback interface. please help me. can u suggest me a site where i can refer the device driver development steps for loopback interface. or can u share me the code for the same, if any one has tried it out.

REGARDS,
SANDEEP.

do you have an example of the part of the code you are not getting. (or are you just not getting the entire concept?)
