Can anyone advise me of a good video course on Bash scripting for beginners. I have been learning pen testing and would like to get a better handle on Bash. Thank you.

my opinion:
many good tutorials. but the topic does not seem suitable for video learning.
also: find some existing shell scripts, try to figure out what they do and how they work, start hacking... that's what I did.

I find videos on bash scripting and most programming so boring I almost fall asleep, the "teacher" most are scrambling to figure out what it is they are even doing, while trying to "teach" others how to do what they have yet to figured out how to do. This on their fault of poor preparation on there part.

Or too much commentary outside of the lesson plan. While they are fiddling around still trying to figure out how to open a terminal or busy sharing there life experiences. Just get to the point and show me what I need to learn.

I've always found the "necessity is the mother of invention" approach the best. Then just search for how to do that. It too sticks in the mind better because it was something the brain actually wanted to know.

You should run into this while your learning yourself how to pen test. Then you'll get more real word experience and less theory, or useless information.
