Gathering PC Specs ... WMI?

I need a way to gather PC specs from a website...

User goes to website... website can run something client side to get the machines RAM, HardDrive(s), Processor(s), CDRom(s), Bios, Operating System, etcetera.

I was thinking of using WMI, but i'm not sure how to get that to work. If anyone knows any other ways that would be great!

Hello

You can use mrtg, rrdtool using snmp or directly reading in /proc

Or maybe this:

http://wbemservices.sourceforge.net/

What's your distro?
