FREE! not to be missed!

yeah.. for free you can do me a great favour and compile the following code for me, from the gtk tutorial, cos i've been staring at it for ages, and just can't make the thing work:

[chris@trevor Projects]$ g++ -w sc.c -o sc `gtk-config --libs --cflags`
sc.c:25: cannot convert `void *' to `GdkPixmap *' in initialization
sc.c: In function `gint motion_notify_event (GtkWidget *,
GdkEventMotion *)':
sc.c:102: cannot convert `guint' to `GdkModifierType' in assignment

the 'stupidly simple' example code is at http://cakenet.dynu.com/sc.c

if you can make it work please tell me! thanks, or if anyoen has a bit of drawing_area type code in plain c that they know works....

I just tried compiling it and it worked without any problems. I however did use gcc instead of g++. Just to test it I used g++ and then I got all those bogus errors you posted. So changing it to gcc should be your solution.

Usually if it a .c file it best to use gcc and when it's a .cpp file use g++.
