fltk question

I'm trying out various GUI tool kits to see which one I'd like to use.
I've typed in the first tutorial for fltk and tried to compile it but I'm getting lots of errors of the Fl_Box::<something or other>, undefined type.

Has anybody come across this problem themselves, and if so can you tell me what I'm doing wrong. I've tried the suggested formats for compiling using gcc but it doesn't seem to help.

Cheers
Amos
