disassembler


Can someone suggest a disassembler for a Motorola 68000 series chip ?

are you running linux/ aix on a m68k? if so you can compile with debugging support and use dbx/ gdb.

or compile with '-S' option and output assembly to a text-file.

if it isn't your program, emacs can display hex code (i read a post on how to do it here - i cant find the link). you would have to map the binary opcode to its appropriate mnemonic manually.

i haven't touched moto68k since college. i am curious what you are working on...

I do not have the source or support, it is a legacy system.

'hexdump' or 'hexedit' seem popular.
