Deploying/executing .war files

I've installed Apache on a test computer running Ubuntu 12.04 but I am not finding how to execute a .war file from a browser. What is the ideal method and place to put a .war file that can be executed by browser. My goal is to allow it to be used on the network by
Code:
ip/questions.war
and locally by
Code:
localhost/questions.war
.

Do you have tomcat installed yet?

http://tomcat.apache.org/tomcat-6.0-...yer-howto.html is a place to start reading.
