The question does not have to be directly related to Linux and any language is fair game.

Is there such a thing as a C++ decompiler? I have heard hearsay of decompilers and dissasemblers for certain languages. Is there one for C++ though? Doesn't this pose certain issues with patents and copyrights for our counterparts in the non-open-source world?
here's a pretty c decompiler... but it only does about 30k of code, so it's not usable for anything but small programs. i know some people have used it to reverse-engineer drivers and the such. as far as copyright goes, if lawyers get a hold of it, i'm sure they'll find something wrong with it.
I have taken a look at that one. Has anyone seen a good, high quality C++ decompiler. That one was for C. I was just wondering if a real good one existed.
I understand that you can use gbd ( the gnu debugger) to dump the assember of a given binary..
I dunno how useful that might be to you..
do you know assembly?
