Unhappy DDD Cannot recognize executabe

Hi here is the error I see when I do "DDD sipomatic" for an executable file called sipomatic:

"not in executable Format; File format not recognized"

Here the File out put on the Executable
[ukoul@mandrake1 console]$ file sipomatic
linphonec: Bourne shell script text executable

Also, the executable I can run properly are of this type:

[ukoul@mandrake1 intro]$ file byteorder
byteorder: ELF 32-bit LSB executable, Intel 80386, version 1 (SYSV), for GNU/Linux 2.2.5, dynamically linked (uses shared libs), not stripped

Any Idea what could be wrong. I am using MAndrake Linux 10.0

Your sipomatic is not a binary executable file, it is a script in plain text, try to open it with a text editor to guess what is the real executable called by this script.

I did find the cure, the real executable by the same name is placed in .libs folder

I have another question, how can I select which executable the KDevelop Debugger uses

I don't know how you found this thread but you really shouldn't necropost: this thread died about six years ago. Best stay in the new thread you created already.
