CSS or HTML5 for looping through video

I need a way to show an object from several angles. The old way was to record a video and post it as a WebM file. Maybe things have improved. What is the right way to show an object from several angles using HTML5? Or is it still a matter of posting a WebM recording?

(HTML is not programming, but this is where most such questions have ended up. Please move this to the right subforum if I have guessed incorrectly.)

Edit: and none of the demos for WebVR or A-frame work in any of my browsers: https://mixedreality.mozilla.org/

However, I am looking for regular web options, ideally without javascript.
