creating a bitmap

Hello,
I have a set of data that I want converted into a bitmap. How do I go about and do that?
So I got and 2d matrix: A[][] = {1,0,1,1,1,0,.......}; I want to make a monochrome bitmap out of this with 1 being a black pixel and 0 a white one.
I'm programing in c++. But if someone knows how to do this with matlab ....

Seems quite easy, really ...

man -k bitmap | grep "(5)"
man pbm
man -k pbm | grep ("3")

Cheers,
Tink
