Question core dumped......!


when i run ps command in terminal of intux 0.98 i got following error msg-
segmentation fault (core dumped)
whereas the same command is easily run in ubuntu

Ok....sounds like you've got a problem on that first box.

The times that I've seem core dumped were when trying to access memory that's reserved for the OS, or unavailable to the program. Like if you point a pointer at memory address 10, then try to access it.
