"continuos" snapshot of processes

Can anyone please tell me how I can get a "continous" snapshot of the running processes in a window, while running some executive script in another? I know I need to use the "ps" command, but I am not sure how to make the snapshot "continous"? I am trying to calculate the load average and %CPU.

Thanks in advance
