Changing my IP Address and Modifying the ARP table using c++

Hi

I'm trtying to find out how to change the IP address and ARP table on my linux box (Fedora). I'm assuming their my be some calls to a kernal module I use to do this, can anyone point me in the right direction?

u can change ip address by

ifconfig eth0 192.168.0.1

etho is the interface

I'm looking for a way to do it directly from code rather than getting the code to call a system command. If I work out the way to do it I'l post the solution on here.

You have to use the SIOCSIFADDR ioctl

I tried using ictol, with the suggested define it work fine now for sertting IP address and adding/changing ARP enteries.
