cannot execute binary file
Hi have FC 4 gcc 4.0.0.8
I have a c code which I can compile but I cannot execute.
I am using the command gcc -c file.c
Whit the error "cannot execute binary file"...my chmod permision is -rwxr-x--x
and when I execute the comand "file file.o" I have the message
"grid2asc.o: ELF 64-bit LSB relocatable, AMD x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), not stripped"
my kernel is 2.6.11-1.1369_FC4
I hope someone can help me.

"grid2asc.o" is not an executable file. It needs to be linked to create an executable. To link, run this:

Now you can run your program with:

Thanks HKO...but I still with the same problem. I can compile but I cannot execute even with chmod 777, permission. I attached the Makefile of this software package.

Problem Fixed
before a line of gcc in the makefile is neccesary use the tab space key
All times are GMT -5. The time now is 12:50 AM .
