c++ container math

Hi,

I have a STL container (e.g. set) containing numbers (doubles) and I like to do some simple math with them like to take the mean and variance, and eventually do some more stuff (like adding/multiplying elementwise). It is pretty easy to implement, but for some reason I feel like reinventing the wheel...

There must be libraries available for this stuff, aren't they? Any idea?
