Accessing MSSQL database through C++ on linux using freetds

Hi,

I have MSSql server 2000 installed on windows server, I need to access mssql database through c++ on linux using freetds.

Does anyone knows how to do it.If some one has smple code that will be really helpful.

Look at the freetds site:
http://www.freetds.org

Download and install the libraries, write a C++ "hello world", and try to connect. All the FAQs and documentation you should need are available on the FreeTDS site.

For whatever it's worth, you can also use ODBC has an alternative to FreeTDS for accessing SQL-Server from a Linux client.

Dear Paul,

Thanks for the reply, on my server freetds is installed an i am able to connect mssql db through php.
Not able to locate any program or documnet on freetds site for c++ and mssql connectivity.

DO you have any sample program or any guideline which i can follow to make c++ working with mssql.
