where is the option to make Windows boot first?

This is an academic question, because I just remembered that someone once told me how to do this by manually modifying a certain file (must look at the relevant post again to remember which file), but does the control panel in MEPIS 6.x have a (graphical) option to make Windows boot first? I haven't found one.

" That information is Classified! "

Seriously though, if there *is* such a GUI, it would be called something like 'Configure boot' or 'Boot configure' or LILO configure or 'GRUB configure' or similar.
The actual file would be lilo.conf (using LILO) or grubmenu.lst or menu.lst (on GRUB systems).
on LILO, setting the default is easy, but I am unfamiliar with GRUBs way of doing things.

Using an editor (as root) open /boot/grub/menu.lst

Near the top is an entry like this:

default 0
(It might be buried in a bunch of commented text)

Change the 0 to the number of the Windows entry--they start at zero
