Live CD (Mepis AntiX) root password?

Downloaded and burned mepisantix 7 to check out as a live CD because I read where it had superior wireless internet support.

I can login as demo, but not as root.

What is the password for root on the livecd? I want to mount the hard disk in the computer I am testing mepis on, and need to change permissions. I try various common passwords, and the CD just laughs at me.

Hello!

For AntiX-15, the root password is "demo"...
