Re: how to restore the boot load in RedHat 9.0

Just boot with any linux distribution cd into your linux-system
(rescue system maybe), chroot into your root partition( in the case that
your rescue system doesn't load your root partition automatically) and
reinstall lilo or whatever your boot manager is.

Hi sudeendra!

In order to restore your bootloader do following steps:
- boot your PC with cd#1
- at the prompt type "linux rescue"
- then after a few clicks, you come to a terminal, there you type "chroot /mnt/sysimage"
- and now reinstall GRUB with the command "/sbin/grub-install /dev/hda"
- reboot your machine

It should work fine now.

Greetz, Boby!
