booting VESA

The liveCD allows me to boot MEPIS VESA, whatever that stands for, and this was successful in bypassing MEPIS's inability to work with my monitor under normal conditions. Can I set the hard drive copy to boot VESA?

What version of MEPIS? When you boot most later versions of MEPIS Live you can press F3 to set your resolution then select the Vesa boot option. This should be your default when you install using the Install MEPIS icon on the Live desktop IIRC. I use F3 to select my resolution, but I boot with the latest Nvidia driver option and that's what I get installed.

Re: Vesa

Just boot the live cd using vesa and install. Here is a link to one of my posts on another forum. Look for post #7

That seems to have done it, Mepnoob. The latest MEPIS now runs of my HD with no video problems.

Unless they're simply on multiple computers, why would you want nine operating systems??? That's ridiculous.
