After login in MDM, screen goes black

Hi !

At some point MDM → Xfce login stops functioning. Screen goes black after entering password in MDM greeter, only mouse cursor is visible.

Entering startx on terminal all works as expected.

Any clue, how to repair MDM login ?!

I'd try to reinstall MDM:

pacman -S mdm

then enable it

systemctl enable mdm.service -f

for pre Plymouth, or:

systemctl enable mdm-plymouth.service -f

for post-Plymouth, info per man page
