xine on mandrake 8


hello people im having sort of an issue with xine i installed it no problem now when i go to the command line and type xine it'll come up no prob just when i try to open a file it closes on me very fast and i hear a real low pitched chirp from my speakers before it closes what could be the problem. any thing will do thanks in advanced

start up xine from the command line,
when it closes in error it should print error msgs in the terminal window

post the error msgs here
