X window crashed

Hello

I've recently installed MDK 9.2 onto my Celeron 700Mhz, 60Gb machine (with Intel 810 on-board chips). But when I tried to start the X window with command "startx" or "xinit" all I got is an error message I do not know what to do with it. The message says:

------------------------------

XFree86 Version 4.3.0

X Protocol Version 11, Revision 0, Release 6.6
Build Operating System: Linux 2.4.18-23mdksmp i686 [ELF]

check XFree86.org to make sure that you have the latest version.
Module Loader present Markers:

The DefaultDepth keyword requires a number to follow it. (EE) Problem parsing the config file
(EE) Error from xf86HandleConfigFile()
Fatal server error:
no screens found
When reporting a problem related to a server crash, please send
the full server output, not just the last messages.
This can be found in the log file "/var/log/XFree86.0.log".
Please report problems to xfree86@xfree86.org.
-----------------------
Can someone please tell me what this means and what I should do about it?

PS: I'm pretty sure Intel 810 chip works with MDK9.2 because it was working before I re-installed MDK9.2 again...if only I remembered to save the working XFree86config file then... (sniff)

edit this file as root
/etc/X11/XF86Config-4

add 24 after the line containing DefaultDepth
save and start X.

ps: you need to use a text editor in the console to achieve this
nano/pico/emacs/vi-vim/

nano is simple to use
man nano
