Writing to NTFS partitions from Mandriva 2008

Hi,

I've a dual boot system with Mandriva 2008 and Windows XP. Although I can read from the Windows File system (NTFS), could anyone tell me how I can write to the same? Will I need only configuration changes or will it require some tools/utilities?

I did dig up some older threads regarding the same, but I'm hoping that those suggestions (like recompiling the kernel) need not be followed for newer distros!

urpmi ntfs-3g

Yes, install ntfs-3g and then edit your /etc/fstab file, replacing option "ntfs" with "ntfs-3g".
