VGA AGP 8x problems with Mandriva LE 2005 (10.2)

I noticed in "dmesg" that:

agpgart: Found an AGP 3.0 compliant device at 0000:00:00.0.
agpgart: Device is in legacy mode, falling back to 2.x
agpgart: Putting AGP V2 device at 0000:00:00.0 into 4x mode
agpgart: Putting AGP V2 device at 0000:01:00.0 into 4x mode

It should be working at 8x , at least according to nVidia.

Any suggestions?

(Already tried nVidia drivers)

Can't say for sure but these are my thoughts.

If your certain that AGP should be running at 8x (I think you can alter that setting in your BIOS - check there) and it isn't then there could be a chance that agp doesn't support 8x with your driver (and your using the ones from nvidia - yes?) or agp is not able to run at 8x (unlikely though).

This is just off the top of my head though.

I have already checked my BIOS and it says 8x , the drivers are from Nvidia (I see the logo before KDM).

Thank you very much for your answer , it's not very important since there are no games to play in Linux that could benefit from 8x speed. I just want to know if something is wrong with my system.
