urpmi database locked!

Hmmm, I was puttin in some FTP servers for main, and contrib, with Konsole, then when I got to plf, and updates, it says that the urpmi database is locked...and I cant download any packages with RPMDrake becuase its the urpmi database is locked, it wasent locke an hour ago...jsut locked outa no where. Any solutions?

There's an easier way but if you reboot it should be fine.

There's also a lock file somewhere you can delete, but I forgot where.

Sounds like the locks on your rpm database are not current.

To fix it, log in as root and ues the commands:

cd /var/lib/rpm
rm -f /var/lib/rpm/__db*
rpm -vv --rebuilddb

That should solve it!

I rebooted my computer and it worked just fine.
