storing groups on ldap server

Hi all,

I posted this issue last week, but meanwhile, I could localize my problem somewhat:

I use a ldap server to provide user accounts and groups. As soon as a user gets a *ldap-stores* main group, this user becomes major trouble with KDE. If his main-group is a local stored group, all works fine.

I checked the same thing with a redhat 9 box: No problem occured. So I think, there is some difficulty to solve on the mandrake 9.2 box.

I think, nsswitch.conf, slapd.conf and ldap.conf are properly set up. getent group/passwd shows all ldap-stored users and groups and authentication works.

Does anyone know, what I can do, to make mandrake work with centralized group management via ldap?
