Snes9x

I have installed Snes9x b/c zsnes kept freezing on me and have installed both goosnes and gsnes9x frontends. In your opinion which frontend should I keep and how would I go about configuring it to keep my regular save games in a folder? I really want to finish Final Fantasy 6 and it isn't keeping my save games.

I'm not too hot on emulators, especially the Snes ones, but have you tried saving the game state in the emulator rather that using the actual games save menu?

IIRC, Genesis emulator allowed you to do this which basically froze the current state of the game allowing you to load it back up later. Some in game save menus didn't work for me but the save state did.

I brought my desktop back down and quit trying to use the laptop, and it must've been some hardware problem because zsnes works absolutely perfect on my desktop, which has lower system specs than the laptop, lol.
