I have a Shuttle AK32V motherboard with built in sound. I am running Mandrake 10.1. When I try to play any sound I get a static sound from my speakers. I can't seem to find different drivers and am a complete NOOB when it comes to linux. Help!
I often get a horrible din from my speakers, but then that's what you get for listening to Swedish heavy metal. :-)
Anyway, on a more serious note there is some info you could send which will help people to make a guess at what your problem might be. Could you please run the following three commands and post the output:
