services/servers trouble


Hey....I'm having trouble starting my ftp server that came with mandrake 9.0! I open the mandrake control and I click on system and goto services and I see the ftp server is not running....i click on start and it tells me its unable to find the ip for 'life' (computers hostname...)

ok i have managed to get proftpd installed and running....but i have no idea how to configure it....any ideas....

try gui GPROFTP, very easy to configure!
