I have been running Mandrake 10.0 for about 3 weeks now. I found the Pan newsreader to be similar to Forte's Agent. It works very well. It does appear to be deleting old messages. I do not know if it is by date, or a fixed size for the saves messages, or (My guess) it deletes them from my hard drive when they no longer on the news server. After Googling this problem, I find most people have the opposite problem. They want to know how to make pan delete messages.

Is there any way I can make pan stop deleting old messages besides moving them to some other directory? Any help is appreciated.
