no internet connection

i using mandrake linux and i am new to linux.i am using mozilla browser.last four days i can not access the net it said "please check your proxy setting and port number configured"
how can i connect to internet through proxy and port number.
i tried as for as i can.so i need your help sir,give me the procedure.

read the preferences for mozilla also look in 'setup your desktop' kde control panel

sir i am new to linux where is the kde control panel.
and ip address is 10.1.1.50 and port number is 3128.
sir how can i check this is correct?

HI,
my two systems are connected by internet.one is properky working and another one is not working.i used same proxy for, "mozilla--->preference--->proxy setting"
and desktop seeting and "configure your computer--->proxy" also.
when i open mozilla it said " please check the proxy configured "
