Unhappy multiple mount points for cds

Hi,

I have problem with new installation of Mdk 9.2 from GPL set (upgrading from 9.1). After first boot kernel adds multiple mount points for my cdrom and cdwriter in /dev (about 10 mount points). When I boot with kernel from Mdk9.1, it creates only necessary mount points and I have one mount point for cdrom and one for cdwriter.

Do you know how to fix it?

Somebody said me that this behaves when by compiling kernel option "Probe all luns" by SCSI-emulation is selected. But I cannot compile kernel (dont have kernel-source on GPL set), but need to use new kernel, because means better performance on my computer.

if you know how they are arranged on your motherbord (primary master, primary slave and so on..) you should do it like this:
mount /dev/hdx /mnt/mount_point
x=a for primary master
x=b for primary slave
x=c for secondery master
x=d for secondery slave
when you boot you should see how they are arrenged.

Very sorry, my mistake. I didn't mean "mount points", but these access points like this:

/dev/scd0, /dev/scd1, /dev/scd2, ...., /dev/cdrom0, /dev/cdrom1, /dev/cdrom2, ...

After boot of Mdk9.2 there are many access points to cdroms and cdwriters like /dev/scdX, where 0 <= X < 14 or /dev/cdromX. When I start Mandrake Control Center or K3b, I see a lot of these points.
