Mount Floppy CDRom swappable Drives

I have recently bought a second hand IBM T22 laptop and installed Mandrake 10.

When installing mandrake I had the CDRom/DVDRom drive installed, which is fine to mount and umount as /dev/hdc.

The problem I am currently having is getting the swappable floppy drive to mount.

I have tried the basics ie.

mount /dev/fd0/ /mnt/floppy

but I receive the following errors:
/dev/fd0:Invalid Argument

I have rebooted twice with the floopy drive in the bay and a floppy disk but I have yet to get the drive to mount correctly.

Can Someone shed some light on the swappable drives as this is the first time I have used Mandrake and also the first time I have installed linux on a laptop.

Thanks

could you please post the contents of your fstab here? it's in /etc/fstab. just click on it & it will open in a text editor. or, in a terminal as root, type cat /etc/fstab & copy/paste here.
