Mandrake Visual installer not working

OK

Guys I tried to install Mandrake !0.1 but Drake X juststars in test mode but If I try RedHat 9 it works in visual mode why so...

My specs are

Celeron 1.7 Ghz

128 Meg RAM

Mercury 845 GL Mboard

Onboard Intel 845 Gfx (No AGP / 3rd party display card)

40 GB HDD
Both Samsung

CDRW

Plz help..

I don't know what you mean.

Are you referring to "X"?

Mandrake works just fine on Intel 845 based computers as I've set up many a server on this chipset.

You do need to configure the video manually, and you'll have no real opengl support.

I'd strongly advise you to consider even a cheap TNT/ATI/GeForce card with at least 64 megs of VRAM.

Do you mean that you get to this screen and not manage to find a working video card driver?

If so, try the "vesa" driver under the "xorg" heading.

Or do you mean you can't get the graphical installer working at all?
