mandrake move will not load

I press enter after prompted.
Then I get the following message.

Uncompressing Linux . . . . ok booting the kernal
_

The keyboard lights flash on and off.

Also the cd drive light stays off. So I know that cd is not being read.

Any ideas on how to resolve this problem

I had a similar problem. A friend downloaded Move for me
as he has broadband access (I'm stuck with a POS 56k line).

I found that I had to put the disk into my CD-RW drive instead
of my DVD drive to get it to come up.

So here's a question. Did you burn this yourself? I'm not being funny
but there's a right way and a wrong way to do it!
Whatever the source of your disk, try opening it in a M$ Windows
environment and have a look at the contents of the disk. You should
be able to see several large files.

If you can't, there's a problem with the disk

Alternatively, you may be experiencing what I had which
appears to be an inability of the drive to read the disk. If you
don't have a second drive I'm afraid you're up the creek.

Let me know

I downloaded move again. Used a different program to burn the cd and now move gets past that part. Now I get an error about the video. I have ATI Raedon 9600 128. This is the error.

Fatal server error:
no screens found

XIO: fatal IO error 104 (connection reset by peer) on x server " 0:0"
after 0 requests (0 known processed) with 0 events remaining.
cant launch graphical mode
