mandrake 10 2.4 kernel

hi
is there away to install mdk 10 oe without the 2.6 kernel and just use 2.4?

Ive installed recently with both kernels installed, but when I boot into 2.4 my mouse wont work, and when i did get it working it was erratic as hell flying from one place to another starting up apps left right and centre.

I sort of thought to myself that the kernels setups could be conflicting. (no evidence for that, I dont even know if its possable).

thanks

I believe you can also just select "LSB" at the package group selection screen. Since the 2.6 kernel isn't linux standards based yet it should then automatically install the 2.4 kernel. It will tell you that it is doing this so you will know.

cheers

The boot option alt1 did the trick. I should have looked harder though as it tells you on the installation screen.

I often wondered what the LSB was for, when I choose this option though the mouse wont work in 2.4, only 2.6.

the reason I wanted 2.4 was for a crappy speedtouch to work, after trying with speedtouchconfs and lots of drivers driving me mad.

I went back to 2.6, started over with the speedtouchconfs, and they worked first time. typical.

thanks for your posts guys.
